John Reisner, an experienced banking and finance law attorney, risk management executive, and in-house counsel for over 25 years, joined Austin in 2008. Formerly General Counsel and Director of Corporate Compliance for a highly acquisitive and aggressively growing multi-billion dollar Midwest regional bank, he has developed and implemented compliance and enterprise-wide risk management programs for banks ranging in size from $150 million to $18 billion, administered examination process and managed relationships with state and federal regulatory agencies for over 20 years, and has served as secretary to bank boards of directors responsible for education, report preparation and presentation, and administration of monthly and quarterly board meetings. He has participated in numerous acquisitions during the past 10 years with responsibilities ranging from direction of regulatory and legal risk due diligence planning and execution, to transaction review, recommendation and negotiation, regulatory application and comment response development, and pre/post - conversion testing. He is a graduate of the University of Toledo, College of Law and attended the Stonier Graduate School of Banking.
