Ms. Skillman joined Austin’s Risk Management Division as a 24-year financial services veteran having served in multiple risk management capacities in the industry. She has extensive experience in enterprise risk management, asset quality, loan review, audit, financial reporting controls, corporate governance, and regulatory process and examinations. She has been involved in developing and launching best practice and policy for banks from $150M to $18B in asset size as a bank examiner, risk management executive and an independent risk advisor.
She has participated in multiple mergers and acquisitions performing credit, risk, and audit due diligence; allowance analyses; and integration of merger partners. Prior to joining Austin, she provided consulting services to financial institutions seeking to develop or augment a disciplined risk management framework vital in today’s regulatory and industry environment. She is a graduate of The University of Toledo and BAI’s Loan Review Certification program.
