TOLEDO,
OH --Austin Associates, LLC, a
leading provider of investment banking, bank consulting
and software services, announced formation of a
partnership sharing agreement with Computer Services,
Inc. (CSI). Terms of the agreement will enable CSI
to offer Austin's proprietary relationship pricing
software to more than 500 of CSI's community bank
clients for whom it provides data processing
services.
"Pricing loan and deposit services
competitively and profitability has been among the
greatest challenges for community banks," according to
Jeff Morris, who manages Austin's software consulting
division. "Until recently, the technological
infrastructure to accurately measure funding and
overhead costs, the impact of ancillary clients services
and other variables affecting profitability of loan and
deposit services was available to only the largest
financial institutions, principally due to cost
constraints and developmental capacity and knowledge,"
added Morris.
Austin's
ground-breaking software sharing agreement with CSI will
enable community banks throughout the United States to
utilize sophisticated analytical tools to price business
loans and deposit services.
"Our
software enables community banks to price their services
on the basis of return on assets and equity targets by
factoring the impact of clients' other bank
relationships, varying interest rate scenarios, overhead
costs and other facets affecting profitability," said
Andy Morgan, who heads Austin's software design and
implementation efforts.
Austin's loan and
deposit pricing software, currently being utilized by
community banks throughout the country, is an
internet-delivered service. This eliminates the
complexity and costs associated with installing software
on local, in-bank networks. It also simplifies and
expedites providing software and new feature
upgrades. Most importantly, Austin's software
allows bankers to price their services on the basis of
inherent risks of each client
relationship.
